Custom A5/S5 seatbacks almost done…

We were able to make quite a bit of progress on the custom red carbon/kevlar A5 seatbacks today.  These should have clearcoat on them by the end of the weekend, and hopefully can be finished up shortly after that.

Sam wetsanding out some of the big scratches after he blocked it smooth.

A quick rinse to remove all the grit and get a preview of things to come.

It still needs a bit more work to clean up the edges, but for the most part they’re almost ready for clearcoat.

Latest B8 A4/S4 images…

The second set of B8 A4/S4 trim is going much smoother than the first.  Almost all the of the kinks I had during the first production run are getting ironed out and the finished product is a lot better.  The finish is flawless and they should fit perfectly.  Now that the beltline is done and all wrapped up (it’s heading to a Canadian tomorrow) I can focus on the last 3 difficult pieces remaining in this set.

First A3 set completed…

Finally finished up the first A3 set and I’m very happy with it.  I really don’t think it could have turned out any better.  I’ll be packing it up tonight and shipping it off to its owner in the morning.  He’s already got an removal guide in the works and will provide plenty of pictures after it gets installed.  I should have pricing finalized in the next few days, probably $450-500.

A5/S5 beltline teasers…

Finally finished polishing up the beltline and will be wrapping it up and shipping it off to its owner tomorrow.  It should be at his door step (and hopefully installed) by the end of the week.

A5/S5 Carbon Fiber Trim Production – part 3…

I got done clearcoating the door pieces pretty late last night.  They turned out beautiful.  I really couldn’t be any happier with them.

Perfect lines, no waves on the finish at all.

Very clean edges.

I was going to just post these pictures last night, but I felt like the images of the pieces under the florescent lights of the warehouse didn’t do them justice.  So I took them out in the sun this morning and they really sparkled.

I love how the color changes depending on the angle and the reflection of the light.  Can’t wait to see these installed.
