Carbon Fiber Products
I’ve done a few blue and red carbon kevlar sets for the B8 recently, so I figured I’d give a go at some colored B5 sets. These sets are in the beginning stages of production and will darken up considerably once the resin and clearcoat has been applied, but you can get a good idea of what they will look like in their raw form.
Few more pictures of a finished 5HS carbon fiber. It will be getting installed this weekend so I should have tons of good pictures of it in the car very soon.
The camera doesn’t really do these pieces justice (my cheapo digital that is covered in resin coupled with fluorescent lights in the warehouse). The look like a bright red and blue, but in person they are more of a deep, subtle color. Once I add the resin, they will darken up a bit as well.
I’ll continue to post pictures of these sets as I run through the production stages.
Got a 20oz 2×2 twill clearcoated. We took it out in the sun to try and get some good photos of it. Pretty crazy how much better it looks in some decent lighting. I’ll try and do this more often with sets.
You can see some orange peel that still needs to get wetsanded and polished out.
