Almost 100 envelopes filled with sample scraps are ready to go and will be mailed out today.  Everyone that requested a sample as of last night will have theirs mailed out today.

I cut the samples smaller this time, so everyone that requested a sample will get one square of 11oz 2×2 twill and another of 20oz 2×2 twill.  A few random people will also have squares of colored carbon/kevlar along with their twill samples.  I didn’t have the time to label which scrap was which, but it should be very obvious when you’re holding the scraps in your hand.  The 11oz (pictured left) will have a slightly smaller weave, while the 20oz (on the right) will have a thicker weave and will be noticeably stiffer.

Three cans of Mountain Dew later and I finished getting 70 more samples ready with labels and postage.  I also managed to get another 150 or so ready with carbon fiber, so I’ll just have to stick on a label and stamps for the 3rd round.

I was even nice enough to pay for the extra postage so a few of our neighbors to the north could get some samples.  I hope they are grateful for this gesture of diplomacy between our great nations.

Just got done stuffing a little over 120 envelopes with carbon fiber samples.  I’ll be dropping them off at the post office tomorrow morning so people should start seeing them in their mailboxes in the next few days.

That being said, I was totally not prepared to have so many people take advantage of this.  I picked up some more envelopes and shipping labels this evening, but I’m probably not going to have time to stuff more envelopes until next weekend.  If you made your request before 7pm PST, then your sample is ready to go.  If you made it after, just hang tight and I promise I’ll get a sample to you soon.
