We just wrapped up and shipped off this 6 piece BMW e92 M3 beltline set of trim (the beltline trim is just around the beltline of the car, with no shifter or other pieces). We did this set in a 1×1 fabric, to match the M3’s OEM carbon fiber roof.
Finished polishing the 1 series trim and snapped a few more pictures of it before I packaged it up and shipped it off to its new owner. Should be there in a few days and hopefully we can get some good installed pictures of it.
Just got our first 1 series set of core trim to start working on. Here is the progress we’ve made so far. What started out as wood was ground down to make room for the added material of the carbon fiber, epoxy, and clearcoat. Laying out the pieces, to determine how much to cut off […]
We’ve made a lot of progress on this trim over the last week or so. Should have it ready to ship very soon. These pieces have been trimmed, sanded, and clearcoated. They still need to be wetsanded and polished. Small dash and ashtray pieces. On the large dash piece, we were able to retain the […]
We’ve got the epoxy on now, and they’re really taking shape. We’ll put these in the oven for a few days to help speed up the cure, then we’ll trim off all the excess carbon and start sanding the epoxy smooth. More pics to come soon.
I’ve got this e90 set of trim finished up and ready to ship. It’s a full 8 piece set. It includes 2 dash pieces, 4 door pieces, ashtray cover, and a non iDrive, manual shifter piece. It was made with an 11oz 2×2 twill fabric. Price is $800, with a $400 refundable core deposit (core […]
In an effort to start offering products to new makes and models, we recently put a call out to see if we could find some high end car owners willing to send us their interior trim so we could work our magic. The first person we found was a 2011 535i owner, and he got […]
just needs a quick wetsand and polish and it will be ready to get shipped out to the customer. We used an upgraded 20oz 2×2 twill fabric on it, with the weave going in all one direction. Very happy with how it turned out.
We’ve done a few BMW sets in the past, mostly e46 and e90 sets, but now we’re about halfway done with our first M5 set. I’m really happy with how it is turning out so far, particularly the shifter piece. I can’t wait to finish this set up and see how it looks installed. We […]
and it will be shipping out shortly. We just need to give it a few days to cure before it gets a final polish and gets shipped out. I’ll make sure to post a bunch of pictures after everything is installed.
We just started our first official set of BMW carbon fiber trim. It’s for a 2006 e90 325i sedan. We decided to wrap it in an upgraded 20oz 2×2 twill fabric to make sure the trim really stood out. Once this is done we’ll start an e92 set (hopefully from an M3) and it will […]
For any BMW owners that are unfamiliar with oCarbon, we make replacement trim sets in real carbon fiber (none of that fake vinyl sticker stuff here). We’ll take the OEM wood set, strip it down, wrap it with a 20oz 2×2 twill carbon fiber, cover it in epoxy, sand it smooth, clearcoat the pieces in […]
