These were done in the standard 2×2 twill fabric, so they’ve got a traditional carbon fiber look. I can’t wait to see some installed pictures so we can add them to the CTS-V gallery.
We were able to get the two custom carbon kevlar sets we’ve been working on clearcoated today. Very happy with the results. Before we start, the pieces look almost matte as they have been sanded down to 800 grit to make a nice, smooth surface for the clear to adhere to. Only going to need […]
Want to win our carbon fiber funnel? We’re giving it away to the first person who can win our little scavenger hunt. First person to post the correct answer in response to this post on our Facebook page will get the funnel. Only one guess per person, so make your first guess count. Ready to […]
Got another round of Porsche GT3 parts done for my buddy Joey. After he gets these installed he’s promised a bunch of installed pictures, which I’m really looking forward to. Up first is the speedometer cluster surround (it is upside down in this picture). It is some times called “the Batwing” for obvious reasons. Up […]
and it turned out great. I’ll be wrapping these pieces up next week and shipping them off to their owner, so hopefully we see some installed pictures of this set real soon. It is really hard to capture the color with a camera, but I did my best: In certain lights, the red looks dark […]
A few months ago, there was a pretty funny post on Audizine involving a funnel (I’m sure a few of you know what I’m talking about). To celebrate what has become an inside joke on the forums, we went ahead and made the worlds best carbon fiber funnel and we’re giving it away to one of […]
This one is for my friends over at CTSVowners.com who have been eagerly awaiting an update on these pieces. The main radio console piece took a lot longer than anticipated to get all trimmed and sanded out, but we were able to get it. Really looking forward to seeing how these pieces look installed. Few […]
I’m just about to start polishing these silver pieces for an RS6 and figured I’d snap some pictures since they look so good. This set is going into a white C5 RS6 with a black interior, so I think the silver carbon is really going to set it off. Hopefully we get some nice pictures […]
Really hard to get good pictures of this fabric to show the true colors. At certain angles and in certain lights, the blue fabric almost looks black. If you look close you can catch a hint of dark blue: But then at other angles you can really see the blue:
After getting the CTS-V pieces wrapped over the weekend, it was time to start brushing on the epoxy. The red kevlar does not soak up the epoxy very well, so it takes a few coats to get it saturated. The black 8HS fabric is easily wetted out though. Only took a few coats for the […]
Now that I’m an official vendor over at CadillacForums.com it’s the perfect time to do a full write up on the production of a CTS-V carbon fiber set of trim from start to finish. This particular set is going to be pretty custom, with red carbon/kevlar hybrid fabric being used on the main trim along the […]
